The Quays set for fun this Easter

THE Quays Shopping Centre is set to celebrate Easter in style this year with a range of activities for all the family taking place over the long weekend.

Activities include; Mini Land Train rides on the mall for a small fee from Friday to Saturday, April 6-14, and The Big Easter Egg giveaway on the mall with DJ Paul McKenna on Saturday, April 7.

The East Coast Adventure Climbing wall be in the car park on Saturday, where kids and adults can try to make it to the top free of charge.

Children take centre the stage on Easter Monday, April 9, with the Quays’ first ever Teddy bears picnic.

A small number of teddy bears will be given away on a first come first served basis plus there will be storytelling for kids and their bears on the mall from 1 to 4pm.

The Easter bunny will be making an appearance to hand out some sweets.

There will be Live Music held on Tuesday, April 10.

Sherryl Murphy, Events and Marketing Manager at The Quays, said, “We’re very excited with the long weekend ahead. It’s our busiest Easter schedule yet and with indoor and outdoor activities ranging from wall climbing to story telling there really is something on offer for all ages.

“We wanted to treat our customers this Easter and what better way to do it than with our Easter egg giveaway, chocolate lollies and teddies up for grabs for the Teddy Bears picnic in centre mall.”

Ian Cummings, East Coast Adventure, added, “With a £50 voucher on offer for the first person to reach the top of the climbing wall on Saturday and a number of Easter eggs on offer for others who reach the top, it’ll be an action-packed day.

“Tickets for the wall can be collected from our stand in the shopping centre throughout the day so call in and grab your free ticket to see if you can make it to the top.”
