The Twelfth 2016 '“ Local routes, times and traffic information

Eighteen demonstrations are to be held across the north on Tuesday, July 12.

Motorists are advised to leave additional times for their journeys and expect delays in these areas.

Here are the local events:

Co Antrim

Ahoghill

The Ahoghill parade will feature 16 lodges accompanied by nine bands.

The main parade is due to commence from the Galgorm Road (main Ballymena line)/ Killane Road junction at 12.30pm, and then proceed towards the village centre via the Portglenone line, Glebe Road, Church Street, through the Diamond area to the Village Playing Fields on the Cullybackey Road.

The guest speaker on the day will be Rev Sherrard McKay, chaplain of Cullybackey District.

Ballycastle

More than 40 lodges and around 30 bands are to take part in the Ballycastle parade.

The parade is held in Ballycastle every five years.

The bands and Orangemen will assemble at the Ramoan Playing Fields before the parade commences at 1pm.

The outward route will proceed via Ramoan Road, Church Road, Coleraine Road, Castle Street, The Diamond, Ann Street, Rathlin Road, Strandview Road, North Street, Quay Road to Quay Road Playing Fields for a religious service.

Ballymena

Thirty lodges and 15 bands are expected to take part in the Ballymena parade.

The bands and Orangemen will assemble at Wakehurst Road at 12.30pm and proceed through the town via Queens Street, Harryville Bridge, Waveney Road, Galgorm Road, Pentagon, Lower Mill Street, Ballymoney Street and Thomas Street to the People’s Park on the Doury Road.

The religious service will be conducted by Rev Ian McClean, a Grand Chaplain of the Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland.

Co Derry

Limavady

Around 3,000 Orangemen representing around 60 lodges, as well as over 50 bands, are to take part in the Limavady parade.

The main procession will commence at 12noon from Church Street and will move through the town centre via Ballyclose Street, Main Street, Linenhall Street, Catherine Street, Roemill Road, William Street, Protestant Street, Catherine Street, Irish Green Street and Roemill Gardens to the Limavady Orange field.

At the field, platform proceedings will commence at 2pm under the chairmanship of Samuel Calvin, Deputy County Grand Master of County Londonderry.
