SPRING officially sprung as Floral Art Group hosted ‘The Ivan Watt MacMillan Trophy’ competition at Leighinmohr House Hotel on March 21.

The competition was appropriately entitled ‘Spring Has Sprung’ with an absolutely breath-taking array of beautiful spring flowers and foliage captured the eye in all of the 19 exhibits so artistically interpreted and no-one was left in any doubt that ‘Spring had definitely Sprung’.

Hearty Congratulations to Senga McFall, who carried away the trophy with her beautiful arrangement of tulips, daffodils and irises.

Congratulations also to Victoria Robertson (Ballymena) who finished in second place and Sylvia Kernohan who came third.

While the competition was being judged, members of the club and guests were entertained by Mr George Madden from Greenisland who completed 5 arrangements entitled ‘Put a Spring in Your Step’.

Yolanda Campbell will demonstrate ‘Spring Symphony’ at the Club’s Annual Dinner will take place in Leighinmohr House Hotel at 7pm on Wednesday, April 20.
