Theft of livestock worth up to £40,000

Police are appealing for information following the theft of livestock worth in the region of £40,000.

Four pedigree Limousin heifers, comprising three black heifers, two of which are in calf, and one red heifer, also in calf, were stolen from the Cromkill Road area earlier this week.

The livestock is estimated to be worth between £25,000 and £40,000

It is believed the theft occurred at land near to Blair Transport sometime between 12 noon on Sunday, October 18 and 3pm on Wednesday, October 21.

Police say the thieves would have used a large trailer and mostly likely reversed into the field.
