Thefts from Larne farms - police issue appeal

Police are appealing for information following thefts that occurred in the Larne area.

The first occurred at farm outbuildings in the Deerpark Road area sometime between 10pm on Wednesday 9 November and 8am on Thursday 10 November. Diesel and a quad trailer were stolen.

The second occurred at premises in the Browndod Road area sometime between 10pm on Wednesday 9 November and 8am on Thursday 10 November. Again, farm buildings were broken into and an amount of diesel and milk powder was taken.

Constable Ryan McKenna said: “I would ask anyone who noticed any information about these incidents, or anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in these areas, to contact Larne Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 580 of 10/11/16. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
