There’s daily strength within the written word

2 COR 5:7

There’s no need to ponder o’er tomorrow’s battle,

Strength you are given for today,

Do your best just where you’re at,

God has already made a way.


So let’s bravely take it one step at a time,

You don’t need to travel on your own,

The loving Shepherd will never fail us,

All our thoughts to Him are known.

When as a trusting child we come to Him

And learn to walk by faith not sights,

Though clouds of darkness we may encounter,

We know behind them lies the light.

Keep steadily on, upon His promise leaning,

There’s daily strength within the written word

To help you meet all that comes before you,

Gently resting in the Lord.
