Thieves steal child’s scrambler bike

Police investigating the theft of a child’s scrambler bike from the Grange estate in Ballyclare have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

The 50cc motorbike was reported stolen from a property on Grange Drive shortly after 12.15am on Saturday, January 3.

It’s understood that voices were heard outside the house about ten minutes before the owners noticed the bike was missing.

The scrambler is a faded red colour and was covered with colourful stickers. It has foot pegs welded to the back axel and BMX handle bars with welding near the right hand grip.

Investigating officers are keen to speak to anyone who noticed suspicious activity in the Grange Drive area at around midnight on Friday night. They can be contacted at Newtownabbey Station on the non-emergency number, 101.
