The doors of the creaky, creepy old mansion will slam shut on Sunday, November 2, but until them there’s all manner of jeepers creepers lurking in dark corners to terrorise and make you scream and laugh at the same time.

At the Chateau there’s no shortage of spirits to get the part started...except they are the non drinkable variety... This is one party you will never forget.

Designed by local Commercial Artist, Phil Ruddock, Château le Fear is an interactive walk-through show with live actors and an array of special light and sound effects. The Château le Fear experience has been described as so terrifying, mere nightmares in comparison seem like light relief.

For the past four weeks, a team of carpenters and designers have been transforming the period building where the show will be held into the ultimate House of Horror. In total, over 30 local people are employed in the project, in various roles such as set building, costume making and performing.

Château le Fear is a new addition to the line up of attractions at the 2014 Banks of the Foyle Hallowe’en Carnival, brochures for which are now circulating.

Tickets are available at the Château in Ebrington and no advance booking is required. The Château is not recommended for those under 12 years of age but a lighter, scaled down version of the show will be presented at weekends and during school holidays from 1pm to 3pm daily, for younger children who must be accompanied by an adult.
