Third Emmy for Ballycastle man's work on Game of Thrones

Ballycastle man Ronan Hill won his third Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama series (one hour) at the Creative Awards in Los Angeles Saturday night.

Hill has worked on all 60 episodes of the epic television series starting with the pilot episode of Game of Thrones.

Speaking after attending the awards ceremony in LA, Ronan said: “Its amazing to be part of one of the biggest shows in the world.

“This award is a tribute to my hard working team and the highly professional and talented local and international production team and crew.

“Game of Thrones has put us on the map, not only showcasing the natural beauty of our surrounding landscape but setting out the stall for Northern Ireland as a centre for excellence in film and television drama production.”

Awards were also won by Carla Stronge and Pamela Smyth from Northern Ireland.
