Third man charged in relation to armed robbery at Maghera service station

A 26-year-old man has been charged with robbery and possession of a firearm in relation to a hold up at a service station on Church Street, Maghera.

Two other men have also been charged and appeared before the courts in connection with the robbery, which took place at around 9.40pm on February 5 this year.

Police said a sum of money was taken along with cigarettes before the culprits made their escape in a car that was later found abandoned in the Toome area.

The 26-year-man is due to appear at Magherafelt Magistrates Court on Wednesday 14 October.
