Special events will be organised for all age groups including Juniors, Young People/Young Adults and Seniors.

Everyone will be very welcome at the Service at 7.30pm when the Rev Drewe McConnell, Limavady will be installed as Irish CE Union President in succession to Mrs Gwen Carson. The Rev Scott Woodburn will be the main speaker and will speak on the theme, ‘Connected’.

Mr Woodburn and his wife, Jenny have three young children, the youngest being born in May. He himself is proud to have been a child of East Belfast where he spent all his days there before being called to Edengrove Presbyterian in Ballynahinch back in 2008, having served an Assistantship in Gardenmore Church, Larne. Gardenmore is a strong CE Church.

He grew up in a non-Christian home but his brother and he attended Church and Sunday school until they reached 16. He knew the Gospel and received a good grounding in the Scriptures but it wasn’t until he turned 18 that he came to faith.

He had become a member of the Youth Fellowship at McQuiston Memorial Presbyterian Church and through the witness of the young people and the weekly Bible teaching the Lord called him to Himself. Today Scott tries to glorify Him in all that he says and does with the Reformation cry of Soli Deo Gloria (To God alone the glory) underpinning much of his life and doctrine.

In his spare time he loves to spend time with his family, play PS3 and watch endless documentaries on the History channel. He has recently joined a gym and hopes that by the time he is 40 he will have become Ulster’s answer to George Clooney!
