Thousands expected at angling fair

ANGLERS, young and old and even the non angling public, are expected to turn out in their thousands for the Loughs Agency Angling Fair being held in Newtownstewart this weekend.

The fair will be held on Saturday 21st (12pm-9pm) and Sunday 22nd May (10-4pm) at the Newtownstewart Playing Fields on the banks of the River Strule from am – 4pm.

The Fair, now in its 7th year, is the perfect opportunity to pick up a bargain or get your hands on some top quality materials that you just won’t find in the shops. There will be nearly 30 exhibitors this year with everything from the smallest flies to boats, clothing to kayaks and conservation groups to antique angling evaluations.

Celebrity angler Paul Young who is attending the show for the first time this year said: “I’m looking forward to attending the Loughs Agency Angling Fair, meeting and greeting local anglers and hopefully I’ll have time to enjoy a bit of fishing as well.”

With FREE admission and parking it is definitely worth visiting even just to catch up with fellow anglers.
