Thousands visit Museum at The Mill

MUSEUM at The Mill at the borough’s civic headquarters has attracted more than 20,000 visitors since it opened in November 2010, according to the council.

A report presented to councillors at their monthly Leisure Committee meeting reveals that over the past two years there have been 26,000 visitors to the museum. That figure includes visitors to the Flax Gallery, which has hosted 16 exhibitions since it opened to the public in April 2011.

At their November committee meeting, members reviewed the current opening arrangements for the museum and agreed a recommendation that the facility should continue to open on Saturdays.
