Three arrests after man robbed

Ballymena police arrested three people on suspicion of robbery after an early morning incident in the Princes Street area of the town.

The arrests were made after a 29-year-old man was robbed of a phone, cash and tobacco at around 2.30am on Sunday morning.

According to police, the man was left badly shaken as a result of the robbery, but suffered no serious physical injuries.

Two men and a woman were arrested a short time later. The woman, aged 26, was later charged by police on suspicion of robbery and is due to appear in Ballymena Magistrates Court next month. The two men were released on police pending further enquiries.
