Three burglaries at business premises

POLICE are trying to discover if there is a link between three burglaries in the Ballymoney area.

Over night on Wednesday September 21/Thursday September 22 commercial premises at Landhead Road were entered and and although an office was ransacked nothing was stolen, the PSNI said.

There was a similar incident at commercial premises at Fivey Road near Stranocum some time between 11pm and 8am on the same night.

A considerable number of items were stolen which are believed to have a total value of several thousand pounds.

Items taken included over 30 nail guns of the following makes - Stanley, Bosch and Max. A grinder was also stolen and 90 model lorries - Corgi and Techno makes - were stolen.

Police believe it would have taken a lot of time to remove the items and believe a vehicle would have been needed.

Police want to hear from anyone who may have noticed suspicious activity or from anyone who is offered stolen items for sale.

And on Thursday morning - between 4am and 4.30am - a pub at the junction of Vow Road and Ballymaconnelly Road was targeted by burglars who stole a cigarette machine containing assorted brands of cigarettes and some cash. That theft is believed to have left the pub with a loss of at least £2,000.

Police say they are keeping an open mind but say a link, especially between the Landhead and Fivey Road raids, cannot be ruled out.
