Three different types of drugs were found in search of house

When police searched the home of a Donaghacloney man they found three different types of drugs, Craigavon Magistrates Court heard last Wednesday.

Thirty four year old Kevin Murphy Greenan, Clover Braes, Donaghcloney, admitted possession of Diazepan, cannabis resin and mephedrone on March 19 this year.

He was given 180 hours community service.

The case had been adjourned from a previous court so that a pre-sentence report could be obtained.

The court heard that when police carried out a search of the defendant’s home they found methadrone valued at £350, £25 worth of cannabis resin and two Diazepan tablets.

Greenan admitted the drugs belonged to him.

A solicitor for the defendant said the case had been adjourned because the judge was concerned about the variety of the drugs found.

He added that Greenan was quite candid in the report about his drug use and recognised he had difficulties .

This was his first drug related conviction, the solicitor added.
