The Old Boys have got off to a good start in their quest to bring back the glory days, they have some quality players like Nicky Cook and Gary King and manager Don Olphert would love a good run in this cup.

Sporting play in the Premier Division of the South Antrim league which is a decent enough standard and they will be difficult to beat with home advantage but the Old Boys may just shade it.

The Belfast side are unbeaten in Division 3C of the Amateur League so they are obviously a more than useful side but with home advantage the Roesiders may win through.

Prediction Drummond.

Premier Division

Foyle Wanderers v Maghera Strollers

Both these sides were knocked out last Saturday of the Irish Junior Cup at the first hurdle so they will be anxious to get some points on the board. Wanderers are a well organised side with excellent facilities.

The Strollers are not the best of travellers and they have lost a number of players from last season, that may give the home side the advantage.

Prediction Foyle Wanderers.

Sion v Roe Rovers

The Tyrone side had a good win last week in the Irish Junior and they are going all out this season to at least get a top five finish, they have a good mixture of youth and experience and the future looks bright.

Rovers were without a game last week so they will be anxious to get on the field of play, their last visit to Tyrone saw them lose heavily at Burndennett they may go down again.

Prediction Sion.
