Three males assaulted in Portstewart

Commenting on the incident, Constable Denise Harte said: “Shortly after 12.30am Police received a report that three males, two aged 22 and one age 21 were assaulted by a man headbutting them.

“Police later arrested a 20 year old man, who was street bailed to return for interview at a later date.

“I would ask anyone who may have witnessed this assault or anyone who has any information to contact the Case Progression Team at Ballymoney on the non emergency number 101. Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
