Three men charged after drugs find

Three men have been charged with drugs offences after cannabis was found during searches in Portadown.

Vacuum bags containing traces of herbal cannabis were discovered during the raid on Sunday by the National Crime Agency.

Officers conducted searches of a house in Clonavon Avenue, a car at Clonavon Avenue and a house on Tandragee Road, Portadown.

A number of vacuum bags containing traces of herbal cannabis were recovered from the car and cash, Class B drugs and documentation were seized from a house on Tandragee Road.

Three men aged 29, 41 and 53 have been charged with a number of offences including importation of a class B drug, being concerned in the supply of a class B drug, possession of a class B drug, possession of criminal property and illegal entry into the UK.

The trio are due to appear at Craigavon Magistrates Court on Wednesday 14th October.

As is normal procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.

Detective Inspector Keith Gawley said: “Once again this demonstrates how effective and successful we can be when we work together. I would encourage anyone who has information about criminal activity and the sale and use of illegal drugs to contact us on 101.”

Herbal cannabis was the drug seized by National Crime Agency.
