Three men dressedin balaclavas petrolbomb Galliagh car

It’s believed three balaclava-clad men petrol bombed a car in the Galliagh area of Londonderry on Wednesday (November 5).

Police are appealing for information following an arson incident in the Glencaw Park area.

At approximately 11.45pm, it was reported that three men set fire to a car. It is believed that a petrol bomb was used. The three men, who were dressed in balaclavas and dark jackets, made off towards the Leafair Park area. No-one was injured in the incident.

PSNI Inspector Sam Shearer said: “I would appeal to anyone who knows anything about this incident to contact Strand Road Police Station on the non emergency number 101.

“Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
