Both of the offences related to an alleged domestic incident on August 27, last.

Londonderry Magistrate’s Court heard that they had both withdrawn their statements about the incident and the PPS is considering whether there will be a prosecution.

Mr McElholm told the court there "should be a financial charge for people who phone police and then decide they don't want to proceed with it. It's a gross waste of money."

Moore and Carnwarth had their bail conditions varied to allow them to have contact with each other.

The case will be mentioned in court agin on October 6.
