Titanic reading in Waterside

WATERSIDE Library will join libraries across Northern Ireland by hosting a range of special Titanic-themed events for children during the next month.

The first event was yesterday, Tuesday, but there are four more planned for each Tuesday morning up to and including August 21, from 10.30am to 11.30am. Each day will feed into the Titanic Reading Challenge, with storytimes, craft sessions and lots more activities.

The Titanic Reading Voyage has been devised by Libraries NI for children aged four and over.

The reading challenge hopes to encourage more children to love reading and this year, mums, dads, grandparents or other adults are also invited to participate in the challenge with their children.

Admission is free and everyone is welcome but to avoid disappointment contact the library in advance if places need to be booked.

For more information, contact Waterside Library at The Workhouse, 23 Glendermott Road, BT47 6BG, or telephone 028 7134 2963, or email [email protected].
