‘Today is the tomorrow we worried about yesterday’

It’s not always easy to respond to

The unexpected things that come your way,

But each difficulty may hold something within,

Though unrevealed to you today.


We don’t know what’s going or likely to happen,

But we can be sure that today

Is the tomorrow we worried about yesterday

And our faith is marking the way.

Let’s press past any hint of impatience,

Things that would cause us to hesitate,

Mindful God has a special season

And His timing is never too late.

Trust in His wisdom and reach for His hand,

Daily, our faith in Him confessing

And we’ll embrace just where we are

When we view it as a blessing.
