Town Clerk leaves Council
CARRICK Borough Council is being headed by directors on a rota basis following the surprise departure this week of chief executive Alan Cardwell.
The Town Clerk brought to an end on Monday a 12-year stint at the helm of the Antrim Street-based local authority.
A statement issued to the TIMES read: “Alan Cardwell, the chief executive of Carrickfergus Borough Council, has indicated his intention to leave his employment with the council on 18th July 2011.”
