A wide variety of exciting acts will be taking to the stage to entertain the crowds before Santa makes his big appearance.

Local musician Shaun Morrow will be sharing his talents as well as local band ‘Smooth’, both of whom will be singing a wide variety of music to suit all tastes and get everyone’s toes tapping.

St Francis Primary School will also be singing some beautiful and traditional carols for everyone to join in while Little Starz Dance Academy, Moyraverty Arts and Drama Society (MADS) and local youth group LINKS will all be performing dance and musical numbers to get you in the mood.

This is sure to be a hit with the young people eager to tell Santa what they would like in their stocking this Christmas.

Mr Claus will leave his grotto later in the afternoon and make his way up the town to assist the Mayor of Craigavon, Cllr Alan Carson to push that all important button to bring the lights to life.

“This Christmas switch on is sure to get everyone in the mood for the festive season and the town always looks stunning when it is lit up,” said the Mayor.

“Make this a switch on to remember, bring the family down, enjoy the wide range of entertainment, see Santa Claus make his grand entrance and why not indulge in a spot of Christmas shopping while you are here?
