Many talented members enhanced the wonderful choral numbers with solos and duets as well as resident dancers Marita Brophy, Kathleen Headley and Rachel Gregson adding a little bit of extra sparkle.

Ron Moore accompanied the choir and soloists on drums and he was joined by an orchestral ensemble of friends and family members.

Lurgan Musical Society was once again joined by younger members who shared their dancing and singing talents with the choir and audience. Aoife Brophy, Enya Brophy, Cormac Brophy and Mary and Kate Moore are little stars of the future and used their many talents. The girls danced their way through some lovely numbers such as ‘The Lion Sleeps Tonight’, ‘Rhythm of Life’ and ‘Do You Hear The People Sing?’ as Cormac played in the instrumental ensemble and sang ‘Little

People’ in the ‘Les Miserables’ section. Mary Kate took on the role of Cosette, singing ‘Castle on a Cloud’ before the full company ended the concert with ‘Do You Hear the People Sing?’

Michelle Harte paid tribute to all choir members for their dedication and commitment as well as many family members who help in so many ways.

Lurgan Musical Society represents all aspects of the community.
