Town talent reaches worldwide audience

A TV show produced in Lurgan and filmed largely in the park is now being broadcast across 52 countries.

The programme, Country Gospel Time, is produced by local man Eyrl McCollum and his wife June.

The show features the best in local musical talent, including The Amen Praise Band, The Dixie Group and many others.

The show now has a slot on Sky TV on the Gospel Channel (588).

It is broadcast on Sundays at 5.30pm, Monday 10.30am, Wednesday 10pm and Friday at 1am.

The shows started just over a month ago, with Eyrl having produced TV programmes and videos over many years.

He decided to do a pilot programme and it has even been picked up by Icelandic TV.

They work three or four months ahead of themselves with the aim of spreading the gospel message.
