Town to look ‘unique’ for Giro

When the Giro d’Italia passes through Ballymena on May 10, around 800 million people in 165 countries will be watching and the town will be suitably ‘dressed’ for the occasion.

Bringing an update to councillors, last week, Chief Executive Anne Donaghy said it was down to “how unique can we be in terms of dressing the borough?”

“We will have media attention from all across the world,” said Mrs Donaghy who encouraged councillors to attend an information event on the ‘Giro’ being hosted by the NI Tourist Board tomorrow, February 12, in Larne Town Hall.
