Tractors are put to the test for ‘dyno day’

Straid Young Farmers held a ‘dyno day’ in association with local John Deere dealer Johnston Gilpin and Co Ltd, at Richard Bones’ yard, Templepatrick Road, Ballyclare.

The aim of the event was for people to bring their tractor along to find out to discover its exact horsepower.

After an early start and a few technical hitches, the organisers were amazed that more tractors turned up than expected and 38 were put through the dyno. After keeping track of all the maximum horsepower each tractor was putting out, they were able to work out whose had the highest power.
