Traffic alert as telegraph pole blocks busy street in NI town

The warning was issued this morning after the fallen pole blocked Edward St in Portadown.

A spokesperson said: “Edward Street, Portadown is closed in both directions this morning (Friday 6th November), following a report of a fallen telegraph pole which is currently blocking the road.

“Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative main routes for their journey.”
