Traffic attendant assault: new appeal

The incident happened in the Stone Row area of the town around 5:00 pm on Thursday, December 10 when a man ran up behind the traffic attendant and struck him with an object.

The culprit then made off across the car park in the direction of the pedestrian precinct. The traffic attendant suffered a puncture wound to his back.

Witnesses to the assault or anyone who can help to identify the culprit who has been described as being bald and wearing a dark hooded coat and light coloured jeans is urged to contact the detectives at Coleraine PSNI Station.
