Traffic congestion warning ahead of Tyrone-Down match

Police and Ulster GAA Council have encouraged road users to anticipate traffic delays and congestion in the Omagh area on Sunday 18 May when Tyrone play Down in an Ulster Championship Game at Healy Park.

In an effort to ease the flow of traffic and leave the game more enjoyable for everyone Co Down Supporters are asked to approach from the Ballygawley direction and follow the GAA parking signs. They should make full use of the car parks of the Great Northern Road and then walk through the town centre unto the Gortin Road to the game.

Co Tyrone supporters are asked to approach the ground from the Derry Road, Killyclogher, and the Gortin direction and park up a distance from the ground and approach on foot. Parking at Healy Park will be limited to officials and disabled.

Persons attending are asked to try to reduce the congestion by coming early and enjoying the minor game. They are also reminded to comply with No Waiting Cones and directions given by Police and GAA Stewarts.
