Traffic delays on St Patrick’s Day

POLICE are warning about potential delays on local roads on St Patrick’s Day.

Motorists could face delays in Kilrea from 6.30pm to 7.30pm on Saturday when a band parade is expected to take place in the town. Motorists are urged to allow additional time to complete their journey safely.

Police also say there could be delays in Coleraine from 8.30pm to 11pm when a band parade is expect to take place in the town. Traffic in Portstewart during the day is also expected to be busy.

* TRANSLINK is advising passengers that as St Patrick’s Day falls on a Saturday this year, a normal Saturday timetable will operate on March 17.

On Monday, March 19, NI Railways will be operating a Saturday timetable, however Goldline, Ulsterbus and Metro services will run as normal.
