Traffic tailbacks after serious crash on Glenshane Pass
A road traffic accident close to the Ponderosa Pub on the Glenshane Pass is continuing to cause lengthy tailbacks back to Maghera.
The route between Glenshane Road, Dungiven, and the Ponderosa Pub was closed earlier today following a three-vehicle crash, and diversions put in place.A woman was airlifted to hospital following the accident. A spokesperson for the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said the woman’s injuries were “very serious”. A number of others were also injured in the crash. Belfast-bound traffic is being diverted in Dungiven and L'Derry-bound traffic is being diverted at the bottom of Glenshane Pass via Maghera.
