Translink extends Causeway bus rambler services

TRANSLINK has announced that its Mourne Rambler service 405 and Causeway Rambler service 402 will be operating from May 6 running until September.

Starting a month earlier than last year, Translink is encouraging the public to make use of the bus service which is supported by the Department for Regional Development’s Rural Transport Fund.

Speaking about the latest development, Michelle Rafferty, Rural Transport Manager, Translink, said: “This is great news for our passengers letting them enjoy these scenic services for a longer period during the year. For both local people and visitors to Northern Ireland, the Rambler provides important transport links, taking passengers through some of the most beautiful landscapes in the country.

“Passengers can pick-up a Translink Rambler information booklet from local bus or train stations which include the opportunity to win a £100 Ulsterbus Tours voucher. We have also produced a range of great value tickets and smart cards to make it easier to get out and about on a rambler adventure this summer,” said Michelle.

The Kilkeel Rambler service 407 and Sperrin Rambler service 403 continue to operate all year round.
