Ballymena crash: young boy taken to hospital after collision involving bus

A young boy was taken to hospital following a traffic collision in Ballymena on Friday morning.

The incident, involving a bus and a pedestrian, happened in the Antrim Road area around 8.10am.

Police and colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service attended the scene.

A young boy was taken to hospital for treatment for injuries. A police spokesperson said he remains in a stable condition at this time.

The Antrim Road was closed in both directions between Ballee roundabout and Queen Street for a period of time but has since re-opened to traffic.
