Boy (11) rescued after 15 ft fall in Roe Valley Country Park
Three fire appliances were sent to the Country Park - one from Crescent Link in Londonderry and one from Limavady Fire Station - to lend specialist assistance to ambulance personnel in the often difficult location.
The incident occurred after 3pm yesterday afternoon.
A spokesperson for the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters attended a specialist rescue incident involving a 11 year old boy who had fallen 15FT down the side of a hill. Firefighters assisted ambulance personnel to stretcher the casualty to a nearby ambulance. The incident was dealt with at 4.04pm.”

Hide AdIt is understood the boy is being treated for his injuries at Altnagelvin Hospital.
This latest incident at the Roe Valley Country Park comes less than 12 months after 15-year-old Steven Mitchell from Doagh, County Antrim died after going into the river.
