Co Antrim road closed for ‘urgent’ works

Motorists are advised that Bridge Street in Carnlough is closed today (Wednesday) for works.

The road closure, which commenced at 9.30am, is operating from the Harbour Road junction to the Waterfall Road junction.

A Department for Infrastructure (DfI) spokesperson said: “The closure is required off-peak only for urgent frame and cover replacement.

“An alternative route is A2 Harbour Road - High Street.”

The work is being carried out by DfI Roads contractors.

Road users are advised to expect an estimated delay of up to five minutes.

The work is due to be completed by 3.30pm on January 20.
