The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) has confirmed a section of the Boghead Bridge Road, Lower Ballinderry, is to close with immediate effect.

It follows an inspection by engineers who identified damage affecting the bridge structure.

Diversions are in place via the U1005 Diamond Lane, C10 Brankinstown Road and U1004 (Off Brankinstown Road) with motorists urged to follow the signage, drive with due care and attention, and allow extra time for their journeys.

Acknowledging the closure will cause disruption and delays, DfI went on to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
