Diversion in place during NI Water works in Newtownabbey

Motorists are advised that a section of the Hydepark Road in Newtownabbey is closed for works.

The road closure, which commenced today (Monday, October 26), is operating from Hydepark Manor to Hydepark Close.

A Department for Infrastructure (DfI) spokesperson said: “The closure is required continuously for NI Water sewer connection works.

“An alternative route is Hightown Road - B95 Mallusk Road - Hydepark Road.”

The work is being carried out by a NI Water contractor.

Road users are advised to expect an estimated delay of up to five minutes.

The work is due to be completed by 4.30pm on October 29.
