Fire reported at terraced house in Cookstown

Firefighters were called to the scene of a fire in Coolnafranky Park, Cookstown on Friday.

It is understood the small fire was out by the time crew arrived just after 7pm on October 28.

A spokesperson for the Fire Service said: "NIFRS responded to a report of a fire at a mid-terraced house at Coolnafranky Park, Cookstown.

"The small fire was out on arrival of FRS. A sounding smoke alarm alerted occupier to the fire. Fire crew from Cookstown station attended the incident."

Meanwhile in Magherafelt fire crews rescued a 20-year-old man from a van that was involved in a two-car collision on the Killyboggin Road just before 4pm on the same day.

The collision also involved a car.
