A Department for Infrastructure (DfI) spokesperson said the closure is required overnight only for resurfacing works.

An alternative route has been suggested- Mallusk Road, Scullions Road, Sandyknowes Roundabout, Antrim Road, Hightown Road and vice versa.

The work is being carried out by a DfI Roads contractor.

Road users are advised to expect an estimated delay of five to 15 minutes.
