Glengormley roads closed for resurfacing works

The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) has provided an update about two ongoing resurfacing schemes in Glengormley.

Motorists are advised that the Mountainvale Road in Glengormley is closed from Burneys Lane to Harmin Park.

Providing an update on November 18, a DfI spokesperson said: “The closure is required daily for resurfacing works.

“An alternative route is Burneys Lane - Cherryvale Avenue - Cherryvale Park - Harmin Drive, Harmin Park and vice versa.”

The work is being carried out by a DfI Roads contractor.

Road users are advised to expect an estimated delay of up to five minutes.

Meanwhile, Coole Park is closed from Carnmoney Road to Ashgrove Road.

A DfI spokesperson said: “The closure is required daily for resurfacing works.

“An alternative route is Carnmoney Road - Glebe Road West, Ashgrove Road and vice versa.”

Motorists are advised to expect an estimated delay of up to five minutes.

The work at both locations is due to be completed by 6pm on Saturday, November 21.
