Lough’s rescue crew save 16 in a month
Lough Neagh Rescue saved 16 people on seven boats over the past month, including a heavily pregnant woman.
On September 12 Ardboe and Kinnego lifeboats rushed to help six people on board a speed boat that was taking on water in Kinnego Bay, but the vessel made it safely to shore.
The latest rescue on September 26 saw a yacht with two crew towed back to Kinnego. It reportedly got into difficulty around Tolans Sound area.
Two people on a 30ft motor cruiser were rescued by Ardboe and Antrim lifeboats while Kinnego was put on standby.
