Motorists had been advised late last night to make alternative plans for their journey as the M1 heading westbound was closed from Junction nine and also closed heading eastbound from Junction 10 “due to an ongoing incident”.
Police confirmed shortly after 7am today (Monday) that the motorway had now reopened.
