Newtownabbey road closed for works

Motorists are advised that Queens Drive in Glengormley is closed for resurfacing works.

The road closure, which started this morning (Tuesday), is operating from Burnthill Road to Queens Avenue.

A DEpartment for Infrastructure (DfI) spokesperson said: “The closure is required daily for resurfacing works.

“An alternative route is Burnthill Road - Ballyclare Road - Queens Park - Queens Avenue and vice versa.”

The work is being carried out by a DfI Roads contractor.

Road users are advised to expect an estimated delay of up to five minutes.

The work is due to be completed by 6pm on Friday, November 27.
