Parking charges suspended by council
Mid Ulster District Council has confirmed all off street car parking charges have been suspended across the district.
A spokesperson for the Council confirmed the decision has been made following the Department for Infrastructure’s decision to suspend parking enforcement and charging with the current lockdown in place for non essential travel due to the coronavirus outbreak.
“Yes, we have temporarily suspended charging in our off-street car parks” said the Council spokesperson.
However, action will still be taken where illegal parking is unsafe or blocking access to emergency or essential services.
