Police called over 'fighting' at train station

Police were called to an incident on the Larne to Belfast railway line on Sunday evening.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Police received a third party report shortly after 9.20pm on Sunday, June 7 that a number of males were fighting at Carrickfergus Train Station.

"Upon police arrival, officers identified an injured male who was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries."

The incident was confirmed by Translink, who added: "Safety is our top priority."
