Road reopened after collision - PSNI urged drivers to seek alternative route

The PSNI has advised motorists that the A1 at Hillsborough has reopened as of 7:15pm, after a road traffic collision.

Police had asked motorists to avoid the area and seek an alternative route for their journeys if possible.

The collision happened on the A1 Northbound close to the Apple Green filling station at Hillsborough, but the incident impacted traffic on both the North and South bound lanes. The road was open but down to one lane as of 4:08pm.
