Section of Ballyclare road closed for works

Motorists are advised that a section of the Rashee Road in Ballyclare is closed for works.

The lane closure, which commenced at 8am today (Monday), is operating from George Avenue to the Ballyeaston Road Junction.

A Department for Infrastructure (DfI) spokesperson said: “The closure is required continuously for water main replacement works.

“Alternative route: Ballyeaston Road - Victoria Road.”

The work is being carried out by a NI Water contractor.

Road users are advised to expect delays of up to five minutes.

The work is set to be completed by 6pm on Sunday, August 9.

Meanwhile, a section of the B59 Ballymena Road in Doagh is also closed for works.

The lane closure, which commenced at 9.30am today, is operating from 168 to 170 Ballymena Road.

The closure is required continuously for repairs and raising to masonry parapets.

The work is being carried out by a Department for Infrastructure Roads contractor.

Motorists are advised to expect an estimated delay of up to five minutes.

The work is set to be completed by 4.30pm on Friday, August 14.
